Mammoth Mountain, CA, posted an operations update late last week detailing their skiing and riding schedule for the remainder of the season.

With a solid base depth and sunny skies, skiers can expect more skiing (but fewer hours per day) in their futures. See below.

The resort reported that beginning Monday, May 6th, operating hours for skiing and riding will shift to 7:30am to 2pm daily moving forward.

With a base depth of 65-100 inches currently, and a total season snowfall of 357 inches, Mammoth is in a good place for a robust spring season. The mountain is known for its spring skiing, and skiers in the Sierra flock to Mammoth as many other resorts close earlier in the season.

Also beginning Monday, May 6th, Rollercoaster Express (4) will close Monday-Thursday and re-open on weekends Fri-Sun through Memorial Day Weekend.

For this upcoming weekend May 3-5, expected lifts include Stump Alley Express (2), Face Lift Express (3), Roller Coaster Express (4), High 5 Express (5), Unbound Express (6), Gold Rush Express (10), Discovery Express (11), Chair 23, and the Upper and Lower Panorama Gondola. The operating hours will be 8:30am to 4pm.

Expected lifts Monday, May 6th to Thursday, May 9th will be Stump Alley Express (2), Face Lift Express (3), High 5 Express (5), Unbound Express (6), Gold Rush Express (10), Discovery Express (11), Chair 23, and the Upper and Lower Panorama Gondola.

See all of these lifts on the trail map below.

Today (May 3rd) the World Quarterpipe Championships is being held at Mammoth's halfpipe, and on May 5th is the Wings For Life Relay, a run in support of spinal cord research.

Also on May 5th is Mammoth's B4BC's Love Your Peaks event, a fundraising event for breast cancer prevention and awareness.

The Unbound Party in the Park has been postponed at this time, but was originally scheduled for May 11th.

Beyond that, there is the Yacht Club party, Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, and then summer festivities begin.
